I had an impromptu day off of work on Friday so that was pretty unexpected.  Hell yeah!  My new garage freezer was delivered which I am totally excited about!  Oh I did not tell you about my new freezer purchase yet?  My bad! I finally bit the bullet and went and purchased one a couple of weekends ago.  I've been eyeing one for a while now but kept waiting for it to go on-sale.  It has- a few times- but I was waiting to see if it would go lower on-sale.  It hasn't.  It was originally $649 and shockingly after shopping around to all of the big box home stores- the cheapest was at Best Buy.  I bought it during the 4th of July savings event so it was on-sale for $552.  They were also running a special that if you used your Best Buy card- you'd save an additional 5% off plus have free financing for 18 months.  Showing a little boob got me free shipping and free haul away (a combined cost of $90) so for the grand total I paid $527.  Not bad.  It ends up being about $30 a month

Almost Finished Newly Renovated Kitchen....Almost

So........ anyone else make any major life changing decisions lately?  Or just me?  Phew- it was a big one. Huge weight off of my shoulders though.  I'm taking what I refer to as a mental sabbatical.  A few weeks to finish up some house projects, relax, get out in nature before I start my new job.  Much needed mental sabbatical.  And by get out in nature, I mean drink margs on my chaise lounges with the sun hitting my face.  Speaking of house projects.  Man, I've been busy!  I started a kitchen reno way back in May.  MAY!  This is an expensive one too.  I know you are all like "Didn't you just do a kitchen reno Kristi?"  And yes.  I did.  In 2019.  So 4 years have gone by.  I feel completely justified in renovating it again.  HAH!   No- but in all seriousness, I renovated my kitchen in July/August of 2019 because I was going to move to MA.  So I updated as much as I could to get the highest return based on what I thought was trendy and what buyers wanted at the ti

There Must Be Something About This Color

I've done it again.  I think I need more friends because it seems when I have down time, I paint things. If you haven't noticed, I paint a lot- therefore I apparently have no friends.  So painting is what I did yesterday.  At least this was something that was kind of necessary.  Since I went and screwed the piece up by doing another project way back when. Let's start with this.  You remember my cute little pedestal table in my kitchen, right?  Don't mind the old photos.  There are no pumpkins currently on the table.  I'm not that crazy. OK- while I was staining my new laundry room shelves however many months ago, I somehow got splatters of stain all over the top of this table.  Which, as you can see, is no where near the laundry room or the shelves that actually got the stain.  Apparently I'm super talented like that. After I finally realized that the stain got on the table top, well after it was dried of course, I knew I needed to try to fix it.  I
