The Condo- Entryway

Image
I took this past Friday off of work for a VARIETY of reasons.  But rather than sit around being lazy- I had a to-do list a mile long.  The top item on the list needing to be checked off??  The condos entry table.  This is kind of a "re-do" project, if I'm honest.  I built this table last summer/fall/winter?  I have no idea when.  But it was meant for additional seating behind the couch that faces the tv.  For when I have all of my friends over to watch the Patriots, they'd have barstool seating and a table to put their food and drinks on.  I built the table and went and bought all sorts of plumbing pipes to make a railing for drinks not to fall over onto the people on the couch and never finished it.  It was moved into the sunroom, out of the way and sat there for a lot longer than I care to admit.  Then it dawned on me.... it would be cute as the condos entry table since clearly I'm not throwing any football parties any time so...

The Condo- Living and Dining Room Reveal

Well..... the common areas are done! The plan was to start on Saturday and see how far I got and then possibly go back either Sunday or Monday to finish up.  I'll tell ya, Easter totally threw a wrench into my Sunday plans.  Way too many stores completely closed for the entire day.  Didn't expect that.  But I figured it out and finished things up on Monday instead.  So to give you a little insight into what kind of vibe I was going for- I found this photo on Pinterest.  I think I've talked about this- I want a mid-century modern/boho vibe.  I saw a couple of pins that I had already saved and was like- YAAAAAAS!  So I went with it.  I went crazy with it!  It was so much fun shopping for this condo.  Guys, you have no idea.  Back to Saturday- I filled up my car and headed over to the condo to start really decorating.  I actually started with putting the bed together- but that room isn't finished yet so you're getti...

I never EVER thought I'd put tassels on anything.... well other than.... you know.  Ew sorry mom. I bit the bullet and started on recovering the chair pillow.  I will say- I am NOT a sewer.  Like at all.  I can do a basic, semi-straight line.  That's about it.  I would love to be able to do a lot more but I just don't have the time or the patience for sewing.  The fact that I was able to sew the original cover and do piping with it and have it come out shockingly good?  I chalk that up to beginners sewing luck. Here is what the pillow looked like.... It was beautiful out yesterday so I took the pillow outside to the patio to remove the cover and buttons.  Then today I pulled out the sewing machine and got to work.  Again- NOT a sewer.  You could probably give me 1,000 tips on how to have sewn this easier than I did.  But it actually came out cute and that's really what matters right? Started by removing the tassels f...
