Girls Just Want To Have Fun...And A Massage...And Cheesecake

WAZZZZZZZZUPPPPPPPP??  Oh my god do you remember how annoying that was when it was popular?   Wait- was it ever popular?  Every guy in every bar would do that and stick their tongue out afterward?  And think they were super cool while doing it?  Ugh.  Shudder.  Shudder.  Anyway…. So I had a really fun weekend.  Friday night a group of us went to see Cirque du Soleil’s The Michael Jackson Immortal Tour.  Now first let me tell you that I am a HUGE Cirque fan and never was a huge Michael fan.   But all in all it was a pretty good show.  It was slightly disappointing since there wasn’t all of the “cirque” aspects like a normal show.  But the choreography and routines they did were pretty impressive.  I have to say that my favorite act was when they performed Smooth Criminal.  They did a fantastic job on that until the end where they ripped the white gangster suit off of that particular Michael to reveal some ch...

Master Bathroom Color Scheme

Image
So I've been thinking a lot lately about my master bedroom color scheme and trying to find a duvet cover that I like that actually FITS my damn bed.  I found one a few months back that were the exact colors that I was looking for.  I loved it!!  I brought it home. And it didn't fit the damn bed.  Whomp whomp!  It was like 2 inches short in each side.  Boo.  Major pissa. I still love the color scheme that was in that duvet cover but I'm extremely doubtful that I'm going to be able to find something with them again.  BUT- I'm OK with finding one of the colors and adding pieces and accessories in the other colors to make up the scheme.  I have one in mind that I'd like to sew but I'm definitely not experienced enough after one pillow to attempt that.  If you don't remember what I bought- here it is. I'm really into the slate blue/orange combination.  Oh and since this is a terrible photo- I'll let you in on a website that I've b...

Just Call Me Martha Effing Stewart!

I purchased a sewing machine a few weeks back.  You know- on my wild Saturday night in Target where I picked up a new vacuum and a sewing machine?  Living the dream here people!   Loser, party of one, your table is ready.  Well with all of the Super Bowl festivities and my lack of knowledge on using an actual sewing machine, it sat in the box on my washing machine.....until yesterday. I decided to attempt covering a pillow that I already had from my apartment in Florida that has been sitting in my spare closet for more than 2 years.  This pillow was kind of a hot mess- shiny iridescent fabric (shit- it was Miami, OK?), missing a button, shiny iridescent fabric....  Exhibit Hot Mess below: I recently purchased and repainted a chair for my front spare bedroom.  You can read about that here .  I had some leftover fabric that I was going to use to recover this pillow for the chair. I headed over to Joann's earlier in the week to pick up...

Happy Blogiversary To ME!!!!!

So in all the craziness that is Super Bowl- my pretty Girl with the Pink Toolbelt blog turned one year old!!! How awesome is that?!?!

And Here It Is.....SUPER BOWL!!!

So.  Yes.  The Patriots lost.  Ugh.  Major disappointment.  And I didn't get to molest my future baby daddy Rob Gronkowski.  Even bigger disappointment.  But there were tons of other fabulous things happening the last 3 weeks that kinda sorta not really  made up for it. As you all have probably heard me talk about- there were serious problems with Super Bowl last year in Dallas.  Well this year I was going to make it my mission to not have one issue with seating and tickets.  I literally walked every day for almost 2 and 1/2 weeks every single seat, row, and section in my stadium.  My body is STILL recovering from all of the climbing and walking.  I checked them , rechecked them, kicked a bunch of fuckers out of them and then rechecked them again.  And then I left the building for 11 days. I headed over to the convention center to run the NFL Experience.  I have experience working that event since I've previously ...
